General Issues


  • Technical requirements:

  • Mac machine (New version works only with Intel base machine),
    Requires Mac OS X v.10.5 "Leopard" or later,
    Online connection is a must only to activate the license.
    Minimum 20MB free space.
    For installation: Admin permission (only the Admin user can install Babylon, it require Admin user+pass)

  • Installation/Licensing process:

  • After purchasing Babylon, you will receive a confirmation letter which includes the download link along with your registration details.
    Download the installer pack and double click it to run.
    Proceed through the installation wizard.
    After the installation is complete, your Mac will restart automatically in order to optimize and configure Babylon.

  • Licensing

  • After installation is complete, Babylon will open and ask for licenses.
    Enter your user name and license code exactly as they appear in the confirmation letter, and proceed.

    If Babylon was purchased in a Box, you will be provided with a license code, and the user name will be chosen by yourself.

  • Configuring Babylon

  • By default, Babylon sets the target languages according to your keyboard input layout which is already configured on your Mac.
    In addition, Babylon imports all languages installed on your Mac, and you are invited to change (add/remove/set order) the target languages within Babylon's system preferences.
    By default, Babylon comes with a default set of commands, which can be altered, expanded, and modified easily through the customization screen.

    Shortcuts (also known as Babylon's activation) can be modified through the system Preferences upper section.
    By double clicking on the shortcut, you will be able to edit the triggering combination.

  • Uninstall

  • In order to uninstall Babylon, open Babylon's menu and choose the Uninstall item.
    By clicking this item Babylon will remove itself from your machine.
