translation @ a click
Babylon can display a list of all possible conjugations and inflected forms (e.g. future, present progressive form, plural, etc.).
If a term has conjugations/inflections, a down arrow is displayed next to the part of speech notation. Clicking the button opens the conjugations/inflections list.
The Conjugations button may appear when the mouse hovers over a term in a cross-translation display. Clicking the button opens the conjugation list for the selected term.
Click on any of the conjugations/inflections in the list to perform a copy/paste function.
Cross-translation is a special type of definition display, optimized for users who need help writing in a language other than their own. Cross-translation is available only when both dictionaries of a language pair (e.g.:German-English and English-German) are available.
In cross translation display, Babylon displays translations in the target language as well as reverse translations of the term you queried, or source language.
Whenever you query a term for translation, by default Babylon provides the normal definition in the defined target language.
To switch to cross-translation display, click the “Show more” link to the right bottom line of the definition.
The cross-translation display remains in effect until you translate.
If only one of the required dictionaries for cross-translation is installed, Babylon will still show the “Show more” link. When you click, Babylon will prompt you to download the missing dictionary.
You can click any of the cross-translated terms in the list to perform copy/paste function.
Babylon includes a Spell-check utility that checks and corrects the spelling of text typed in Internet Explorer text entry areas, such as chat boxes, email, blogs and comment boxes.
Once you begin typing in a browser text area and a spelling mistake is detected, Babylon Globe is automatically activated.
When you stop typing, the Spell-check remains active until the text area loses the focus.
Once you run the Speller - Babylon underlines the misspelled words and marks them in bold and red.
Clicking on the flagged mistake opens a menu with a list suggesting up to eight spelling corrections based on the detected source language and your installed offline dictionaries.
Clicking on a word in the suggestion list automatically replaces the misspelled word.
