This "knowledge platform" is based on a core of 800 technical and scientific concepts extracted from life sciences literature and other sources. For each term, main and alternative definitions, as well as their sources are provided. We wish to thank Vincenzo Carrozzino, a biotechnology expert at the Italian Ministry for Agricultural and Forestry Policies, for his contribution in developing this platform.
