Zondag
Zondag is een van de zeven dagen van de week volgens de Gregoriaanse kalender. Het is de dag die op de zaterdag volgt.

Zondag is genoemd naar de dag die in de voorchristelijke tijd aan de zon en naar de Godin Sól of Sunna was gewijd (Latijn: dies solis) en die in de gehele christelijke wereld als de 'dag des Heren' wordt gevierd (Latijn: dies domenica, waarvan Frans: dimanche; Italiaans: domenica). De dag wordt algemeen als geluksdag beschouwd.
