Niño desde el punto de vista de su desarrollo psicobiológico, es la denominación utilizada a toda criatura humana que no ha alcanzado la pubertad. Como sinónimo de infantil o pueril, el término se aplica a quien no es considerado adulto. También el término se aplica a quien previa a la adolescencia vive su niñez.
