The Yellow Belt is the third "belt" in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Pittsburgh/Allegheny County Belt System and the second of two belts to make a complete circumference of the city (the first being the Blue Belt), over a distance of 80 miles. For several miles in the southern part of the county, it is the outermost of the belts. (The Orange Belt has a gap where it used to enter into Washington County, Pennsylvania and the Red Belt runs exclusively in the north of the city.) The belt was originally set up in the 1940s though the current route was finalized in 1972.
