A kippah ( kippa, plural kippot. kapele small cap," though more often יאַרמלקע yarmlke sometimes rendered yarmelke or yarmulka, from the Polish jarmułka) is a thin, slightly-rounded skullcap traditionally worn by observant Jewish men. (Some women in the egalitarian Conservative and Reform movements also wear it during services.)
