WALK
Walking
Walking (also known as ambulation) is one of the main gaits of locomotion among legged animals, and is typically slower than running and other gaits. Walking is defined by an 'inverted pendulum' gait in which the body vaults over the stiff limb or limbs with each step. This applies regardless of the number of limbs - even arthropods with six, eight or more limbs.

Gehen
Gehen ist eine Fortbewegungsart, bei der es im Gegensatz zum Laufen keine Flugphase gibt. Der Körper hat also in jeder Phase des Bewegungszyklus Kontakt zum Boden über Beine und Füße. Beim zweibeinigen Gehen gibt es statt der Flugphase eine Doppelstützphase, die beim Menschen etwa 20 Prozent der Gesamtzykluszeit in Anspruch nimmt. Ein Mensch geht durchschnittlich mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 1,4 m/s (5 km/h).

Marche
La marche (le quasi-pléonasme marche à pied est également souvent utilisé) est un mode de locomotion naturel. Il consiste en un déplacement en appui alternatif sur les jambes, en position debout et en ayant toujours au moins un point d'appui en contact avec le sol, sinon il s'agit de course.

Une marche (marchinatus) désignait une terre conquise sur l'ennemi ou détachée d'un territoire frontalier, à laquelle le suzerain attribuait une vocation particulière de défense contre le territoire voisin.

La Région des Marches (en italien Regione Marche), plus couramment appelée les Marches en français, est une région d'Italie centrale, qui compte 1,4 millions d'habitants. Elle a comme capitale Ancône.

Valka
Valka (niem. Walk) - miasto na Łotwie, liczący ok. 6,5 tys. mieszkańców ośrodek administracyjny okręgu Valka. Miasto położone jest przy granicy z Estonią, naprzeciwko estońskiego miasta Valga.
Wałk (Walk) został pierwszy raz wspomniany w 1286 roku, prawa miejskie nadał miastu dopiero król Polski Stefan I w roku 1584.
15 listopada 1918 Wałku podjęto decyzję o proklamacji niepodległości Łotwy. 1 lipca 1920 miasto podzielono pomiędzy Łotwę (obecne Valka) i Estonię (obecne Valga).
