Visayas is de verzamelnaam van een eilandengroep in het centrale deel van de Filipijnen. De twee andere eilandengroepen van het land zijn Luzon en Mindanao. De grootste eilanden van de Visayas zijn van West naar Oost: Palawan, Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte en Samar.

ヴィサヤ諸島（Visayas、日本語ではビサヤ諸島とも表記、タガログ語ではKabisayaan　カビサヤアン）はフィリピン中部、ルソン島とミンダナオ島にはさまれた海域にある島々の集まり。ルソン・ミンダナオに並ぶ国の重要な三つのブロックの一つとして、フィリピンの国旗の3個の星に象徴されている。古くから中国・東南アジア・アラブに至る「海のシルクロード」交易の拠点であり、スペイン人による征服もここから始まった。今でもスペイン植民地時代の宗教的・文化的遺産を多く残す地域。また珊瑚礁や砂浜に囲まれた島が無数に点在し、リゾートとしても有望。地域の商業・工業・観光の中心都市は、フィリピン第2の大都市圏を持つセブ市。マレー系の子孫であるビサヤ人（Bisaya、またはヴィサヤ人 Visayans とも）が住む。彼らの言語は、西部のイロンゴ語、中部のセブアノ語、東部のワライ語など、互いに違いが大きく様々な種類のあるヴィサヤ語である。英語、タガログ語も通じる。
