Étienne Pierre Ventenat (1 March 1757 – 13 August 1808) was a French botanist born in Limoges. He was the brother of naturalist Louis Ventenat (1765–1794).

Entlüfter haben die Aufgabe, in Rohrleitungen und Behältern befindliche Gase, insbesondere Luft, aus einer flüssigkeits- und dampfführenden Anlage zu entfernen. Entlüfter zählen zu den Armaturen. Sinnvoller Weise werden Entlüftungen generell am höchsten Punkt eines wasserführenden Rohrleitungssystems angebracht, da Luft bekanntlich eine geringere Dichte hat als Wasser.
