V Day
- V-Day is a term used during WWII prior to victory being achieved in Europe and Asia. The term was later replaced by the use of V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day) and V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day) after victory was achieved by the Allies in Europe. It may also refer to a specific calendar day in celebration of victory in different nations, including Victory Day (9 May) which is the formal date of the celebration by the USSR of the capitulation of Nazi Germany.
- V-Day (movement) also refers to the global movement to end violence against women and girls
- V-Day may also be used as shorthand for Valentine's Day in English-speaking countries.

V-Day
V-Day (abbreviazione di Vaffanculo-Day) è il titolo di un'iniziativa politica italiana patrocinata dal comico Beppe Grillo, finalizzata a presentare una legge di iniziativa popolare che di fatto eredita e prosegue le intenzioni dell'iniziativa Parlamento pulito dello stesso comico genovese.
Il V-Day si è svolto l'8 settembre 2007, in numerose piazze italiane e di fronte alle ambasciate italiane all'estero. L'unica televisione italiana che ha seguito in diretta l'evento è stata EcoTv (canale Sky 906). Visto il successo della manifestazione, gli organizzatori hanno poi deciso di prolungare le attività anche per il giorno 9 settembre.

V-day
El proyecto de V-day se basa en la producción de la obra "Los monólogos de la vagina" de Eve Ensler. En una campaña sin fines de lucro que busca establecer una conexión entre el amor y respeto a las mujeres, y el fin de la violencia contra ellas.
En el nombre, la "V" viene de "San Valentín", "vagina" y "victoria" ya que el día oficial de V-day es el 14 de febrero, que se celebra en muchos países como el Día de San Valentín.
Cada año, entre el primero de febrero y el ocho de marzo, cuando se celebra el Día Internacional de la Mujer, grupos de voluntarios alrededor del mundo llevan al escenario la obra de Ensler para recaudar fondos en ayuda a sus programas regionales que combaten la violencia contra las mujeres y las jovencitas, incluyendo refugios para las víctimas de violencia doméstica y centros de apoyo para las víctimas de violación sexual.
