Universal Studios
This article is about the American media conglomerate. For information about the Universal Studios Theme Parks, see Universal Studios HollywoodUniversal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Japan.Universal Studios (sometimes called Universal Pictures or Universal City Studios), a subsidiary of NBC Universal, is one of the major American film studios. Its production studios are located at 100 Universal City Plaza Drive in Universal City, California, an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County between Los Angeles and Burbank. Distribution and other corporate, administrative offices are based in New York City. Universal is the second longest-lived studio in Hollywood (Viacom's Paramount Pictures is the oldest by only a month).
