Trauma lub Uraz psychiczny - ostry, nagły uraz (szok), który może spowodować zaburzenia somatyczne i psychiczne. Często na skutek intensywnej emocji lub urazu czaszkowego, wywołanego wypadkiem lub jednorazową katastrofą (trzęsienie ziemi, pożar, itd.), człowiek przejawia mniej lub bardziej trwałe objawy zaburzeń psychicznych (syndrom pourazowy). Najważniejsze z nich to drażliwość, łatwe uleganie zmęczeniu, astenia, amnezja, regres do któregoś ze stadiów okresu dziecięcego, czasem ucieczka w chorobę i alkoholizm.
