TEXT is the band founded by Kristofer Steen, David Sandström, Fredrik Bäckström and Jon F Brännström. All, except Bäckström, were ex-members of hardcore band Refused. Stylistically, they have little in common with Refused. Their debut album, Text, is a mix of spoken word, music of various styles, and ambient sound effects, often producing an ethereal, avant-garde sound. Apart from the three "Tableau" tracks (which are one piece, split up across the album), each track could be described as fitting into a different genre. In 2008, a second album, Vital Signs, was released. Yet again the style of music is far from Refused and the first Text album. Only Fredrik Bäckström and Jon F Brännström appear on this album.

A text file (sometimes spelled "textfile": an old alternate name is "flatfile") is a kind of computer file that is structured as a sequence of lines of electronic text. A text file exists within a computer file system. The end of a text file is often denoted by placing one or more special characters, known as an end-of-file marker, after the last line in a text file.

Text (lat. textum: Gewebe, Zusammenfügung) bezeichnet eine abgegrenzte, zusammenhängende Äußerung in geschriebener Sprache, im weiteren Sinne auch die nicht geschriebene, aber schreibbare Sprachinformation (beispielsweise eines Liedes, Films oder einer improvisierten Theateraufführung).

Als Textdatei wird in der Informationstechnik eine Datei bezeichnet, deren Inhalt aus einer sequentiellen Folge von darstellbaren Zeichen eines Zeichensatzes besteht, die durch Steuerzeichen wie Zeilen- und Seitenwechsel untergliedert sein kann. Das Gegenstück zur Textdatei stellt eine Binärdatei dar. Im Grunde werden auch Textdateien binär gespeichert, oft werden die Begriffe jedoch komplementär verwendet. Eine Textdatei ist im Gegensatz zu einer Binärdatei ohne die Verwendung spezieller Software lesbar und kann mit einem einfachen Texteditor – wie beispielsweise mit Notepad unter Microsoft Windows – angesehen und bearbeitet werden. Die zweiwertige Klassifizierung von Dateien als Text- und Binärdateien ist nicht in allen Fällen eindeutig, insbesondere bei Verwendung der Begriffe auf unterschiedlichen Abstraktionsebenen. Ungeachtet dieser Unschärfe werden die Begriffe in der Informationstechnik häufig gebraucht.

En informatique, un fichier texte ou fichier texte brut ou fichier texte simple ou (le plus souvent abusivement) fichier ASCII, est un fichier dont le contenu représente uniquement une suite de caractères informatiques. En informatique, l'espace et le retour à la ligne sont considérés comme des caractères au même titre qu'une lettre, un chiffre ou un signe de ponctuation.

Un texte est une succession de caractères organisée selon un langage. Cette définition désigne aussi bien une sémiotique du langage (proprement acte sémique) qui en tant que tel transcende l'acte textuel. Il en résulte que le texte est exprimé par plusieurs phrases en différentes langues.

.txt är en filändelse på textfiler med enbart enkel text utan formatering, annat än sådan som är avsedd att direkt tolkas av läsaren. En .txt-fil är också uttryckligen avsedd att läsas, inte att tolkas av något datorprogram.
