Tepu
Tepu is a commune in Galati County, Romania with a population of 2,518 people. It is composed of two villages, Tepu and Tepu de Sus.

Tepualia
Tepualia is a monotypic genus of the myrtle family containing only the species Tepualia stipularis, which is commonly known as tepú, trepú, or tepual. It is an evergreen tree or shrub that can attain a height of about seven metres. The plant is native to southern South America in the southern portions of Chile and Argentina and is a typical resident of very wet areas, especially peat bogs. Tepú has white flowers that emerge during the austral summer from January through March. The tree's wood is used within its range as a firewood due to it high energy content.

Tepualia stipularis
El tepú (Tepualia stipularis), también llamado trepú o tepual, es una especie botánica arbórea siempreverde de la familia de las mirtáceas. Crece en los bosques templados de Chile y de Argentina.
Sus hojas son opuestas, simples, de forma lanceolada con una espícula en su extremo. Produce flores pequeñas con estambres blancos y largos; la floración ocurre en enero y febrero. Su fruto es una cápsula.
Es un árbol pequeño, de tronco retorcido y su madera es muy dura. A causa de la forma sinuosa de su tronco y de su dureza se usa casi exclusivamente como leña, función que cumple muy bien debido a su gran capacidad calórica, incluso mayor que la de la luma.

Ţepu, Galaţi
Ţepu este o localitate în judeţul Galaţi, Moldova, România. Există Ţepu de Sus şi Ţepu de Jos. Sunt două şcoli: Şcoala " Tudor Pamfile" cu clasele 1-8 şi o şcoală cu clasele 1-4 ( simultane) in Ţepu de Sus.
