syntax

In computer science, SYNTAX is a system used to generate lexical and syntactic analyzers (parsers) (both deterministic and non-deterministic) for all kind of context-free grammars (CFGs) as well as some classes of contextual grammars. It is developed at INRIA (France) for several decades, mostly by Pierre Boullier, but has become free software since 2007 only. SYNTAX is distributed under the CeCILL licence.

The term syntax can also be used to refer to these rules themselves, as in “the syntax of a language”. Modern research in syntax attempts to describe languages in terms of such rules, and, for many practitioners, to find general rules that apply to all languages. Since the field of syntax attempts to explain grammaticality judgments, and not provide them, it is unconcerned with linguistic prescription.

SYNTAX est un générateur d'analyseurs lexicaux et syntaxiques (déterministes ou non-déterministes) pour toutes les grammaires non-contextuelles ainsi que certaines classes de grammaires contextuelles. Il est développé à l'INRIA depuis plusieurs dizaines d'années, en majeure partie par Pierre Boullier, mais n'est librement disponible que depuis 2007. SYNTAX est distribué librement sous licence CeCILL.

La syntaxe est à l'origine la branche de la linguistique qui étudie la façon dont les morphèmes libres (les mots) se combinent pour former des syntagmes (nominaux ou verbaux) pouvant mener à des propositions (indépendantes ou principales / subordonnées, relatives), lesquelles peuvent se combiner à leur tour pour former des énoncés.

Die Syntax (griechisch σύνταξις [] „die Zusammenstellung“, deutsch vereinfachend: Satzbau) behandelt die Muster und Regeln, nach denen Wörter zu größeren funktionellen Einheiten wie Phrasen (Teilsätze) und Sätzen zusammengestellt und Beziehungen wie Teil-Ganzes, Abhängigkeit etc. zwischen diesen formuliert werden.

Syntaktyka, składnia - (gr. syntaktikós porządkujący) - dział językoznawstwa, który zajmuje się budową wypowiedzeń. Syntaktyka (w ujęciu tradycyjnym) bada takie zjawiska jak funkcje wyrazów w zdaniu (funkcja podmiotu, orzeczenia, dopełnienia itd.), zależności między wyrazami w zdaniu (np. związek zgody, związek rządu, związek przynależności czy szyk wyrazów w wypowiedzeniu. W odmiennym ujęciu (występującym w gramatyce generatywnej) syntaktyka opisuje sposoby łączenia się morfemów w zdania. W ujęciu gramatyki generatywnej syntaktyka przeciwstawia się semantyce i fonologii, morfologia natomiast stanowi część fonologii i syntaktyki.

Zinsbouw of syntaxis is zowel het proces van woordordening dat tot betekenisvolle taaluitingen leidt als de structuur van een zin die hiervan het resultaat is.Het deelgebied van de taalkunde dat zich met de bestudering van de zinsbouw bezighoudt wordt syntaxis genoemd.
