Sur, Oman
Sur is a capital city of Ash Sharqiyah Region, northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. It is located at around , and is 93 miles (150 km) southeast of the Omani capital Muscat. Historically the city is known for being an important destination point for sailors. Today the sea still plays an important part of life in Sur.

Sur - miasto w Libanie, w starożytności znane jako fenickie miasto Tyr, port nad Morzem Śródziemnym. Połączenie kolejowe i drogowe z portem Sajda.
W 2006 r. liczyło 142 tys. mieszkańców. Obecnie ośrodek handlowy regionu, w którym uprawia się owoce cytrusowe, winorośl, oliwki. Z dawnych zabytków zachowały się starożytna nekropolia, pozostałości katedry, termy, hipodrom, dwie ulice kolumnowe oraz budynek widowiskowy.

Súr (zm. po 955) - wódz węgierski z dynastii Árpádów z rodu Jutasa. Przypuszcza się, że mógł być synem Fajsza.
W bitwie nad rzeką Lech w 955 armia madziarska pod wodzą jego, Bulcsú i Léla poniosła druzgocącą klęskę z rąk Niemców. Súr jako jedyny z trzech węgierskich dowódców nie wpadł w ręce wroga.
