Statistik
Statistik ist die Lehre von Methoden zum Umgang mit quantitativen Informationen (Daten). Sie ist eine Möglichkeit, eine systematische Verbindung zwischen Erfahrung (Empirie) und Theorie herzustellen. Sie ist damit unter anderem die Zusammenfassung bestimmter Methoden, um empirische Daten zu analysieren.

Statistik
Statistik är en gren inom tillämpad matematik som sysslar med insamling, utvärdering, analys och presentation av data eller information. I arbetet används också element från kognition, psykologi, data- och systemvetenskap, numeriska beräkningar samt bidrag från andra ämnen som befattar sig med matematik, data och datorintensiva metoder.

Statistica
La statistica è la scienza che ha come fine lo studio quantitativo e qualitativo di un "collettivo". Studia i modi (descritti attraverso formule matematiche) in cui una realtà fenomenica - limitatamente ai fenomeni collettivi - può essere sintetizzata e quindi compresa.
Con il termine statistica, nel linguaggio di tutti i giorni, si indicano anche semplicemente i risultati numerici (le statistiche richiamate nei telegiornali, ad esempio: l'inflazione, il PIL etc.) di un processo di sintesi dei dati osservati.
