Static random-access memory
Static random-access memory (SRAM) is a type of semiconductor memory that uses bistable latching circuitry to store each bit. The term static differentiates it from dynamic RAM (DRAM) which must be periodically refreshed. SRAM exhibits data remanence, but is still volatile in the conventional sense that data is eventually lost when the memory is not powered.

Static random-access memory
Static random-access memory (deutsch: statisches RAM, Abkürzung: SRAM) bezeichnet einen elektronischen Speichertyp. Sein Inhalt ist flüchtig (volatil; engl. volatile), das heißt, die gespeicherte Information geht bei Abschaltung der Betriebsspannung verloren. Im Gegensatz zu dynamischem Speicher, welcher zur Vermeidung von Datenverlust ein periodisches Auffrischen (engl. refresh) benötigt, kann der Dateninhalt im statischen RAM bei Anliegen der Betriebsspannung beliebig lange gespeichert werden, wovon sich auch die Bezeichnung dieses Speichertyps ableitet.

Static Random Access Memory
La SRAM ou Static Random Access Memory est un type de mémoire vive utilisant des bascules pour mémoriser les données. Les temps d'accès ont représenté, en leur temps, une avancée importante pour la rapidité des processus informatiques. Elles ne peuvent se passer d'alimentation sous peine de voir les informations effacées irrémédiablement.

SRAM (pamieci komputerowe)
SRAM (ang. Static Random Access Memory), statyczna pamięć o dostępie swobodnym – typ pamięci półprzewodnikowej stosowanej w komputerach.
Słowo "statyczna" oznacza, że pamięć SRAM przechowuje dane tak długo, jak długo włączone jest zasilanie, w odróżnieniu od pamięci typu DRAM, która wymaga okresowego odświeżania.
Każdy bit przechowywany jest w pamięci SRAM w układzie zbudowanym z czterech tranzystorów, które tworzą przerzutnik, oraz z dwóch tranzystorów sterujących. Taka struktura umożliwia znacznie szybsze odczytanie bitu niż w pamięci typu DRAM, oraz w przeciwieństwie do pamięci DRAM nie wymaga odświeżania.
