state

A state is a political association with effective dominion over a geographic area. It usually includes the set of institutions that claim the authority to make the rules that govern the people of the society in that territory, though its status as a state often depends in part on being recognized by a number of other states as having internal and external sovereignty over it. In sociology, the state is normally identified with these institutions: in Max Weber's influential definition, it is that organization that has a "monopoly on the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory," which may include the armed forces, civil service or state bureaucracy, courts, and police.

L’État est une des formes d'organisation politique et juridique d'une société (en tant que communauté de citoyens ou de sujets) ou d'un pays. Il a été précédé par la Polis grecque, la res publica romaine, le Saint Empire romain germanique etc. Il est délimité par des frontières territoriales à l'intérieur desquelles ses lois s'appliquent et est constitué d’institutions par lesquelles il exerce autorité et pouvoir ; la légitimité de cette autorité repose sur la souveraineté (du peuple ou de la nation par exemple).

Der Begriff Staat als gesellschaftliche Einrichtung kann auf verschiedene Weise behandelt werden.Die klassische und juristisch beeinflusste Definition sieht den Staat als „eine politisch-rechtliche Ordnung, die eine Personengemeinschaft auf der Grundlage eines Staatsvolkes innerhalb eines räumlich abgegrenzten Gebietes zur Sicherstellung bestimmter Zwecke auf Dauer bindet und einer souveränen Herrschaftsgewalt unterwirft“. Daraus ergibt sich die Dreiteilung Staatsvolk, Staatsgebiet und Staatsgewalt. Nach demokratischem Ideal geht in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz die Staatsgewalt vom Volk aus. Nach einer wissenschaftlich beeinflussten Annäherung ist der Staat „ein klarer Satz politischer Institutionen (im Namen des öffentlichen Interesses innerhalb eines begrenzten Territoriums) dessen spezielles Interesse in der Organisation der Herrschaft liegt.“

Państwo jest polityczną, suwerenną, terytorialną i obligatoryjną organizacją społeczeństwa. Organizuje i koordynuje prace dużych grup społecznych. Państwo ma też granice terytorialnie. Jest niezależne i niepodległe.

Lo stato è un ordinamento giuridico politico, ovvero a fini generali, esercitante il potere sovrano su un determinato territorio e sui soggetti a esso appartenenti. Esso comanda anche mediante l'uso della forza armata, della quale detiene il monopolio. Alla parola stato afferiscono due concetti distinti:stato comunità: popolo, stanziato su un territorio definito, che è organizzato attorno ad un potere centrale (comunemente chiamato "stato - nazione").Stato governo: quel potere centrale sovrano, organizzato in possibili differenti modi, che detiene il monopolio della forza, e impone il rispetto di determinate norme nell'ambito di un territorio ben definito.
