In chemistry and other sciences, STP or standard temperature and pressure is a standard set of conditions for experimental measurements, to enable comparisons to be made between sets of data. Internationally, the current STP defined by the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) is an absolute pressure of 100.00 kPa (1 bar) and a temperature of 273.15 K (0 °C). Other organizations have established a variety of alternative definitions for the standard reference conditions of temperature and pressure, such as the SATP amongst others.

Cet article traite de l'atmosphère normalisée. La température et la pression de l'air varient d'un point à l'autre de la Terre, et en fonction du temps. Or, ces valeurs ont une grande importance dans de nombreux processus chimiques et physiques, notamment en ce qui concerne les mesures. Il faut donc définir des « conditions normales de température et de pression » (CNTP), le terme « normal » renvoyant à « norme » (valeur arbitraire de référence acceptée par consensus), et non pas « habituel ». On parle aussi de « température et pression normales » (TPN). De nombreuses valeurs sont données pour ces conditions.

Unter Standardbedingungen versteht man vereinbarte Werte bestimmter Größen, in der Regel von physikalischen und chemischen Größen. Per esempio nel caso dell'entalpia e dell'entropia termodinamica solo la pressione stabilisce lo stato standard.Convenzionalmente i valori standard delle variabili di stato termodinamiche sono fissati in 273,15 K (0 °C) e 101 325  Pa (1 atm). Questi valori sono anche detti «temperatura e pressione standard» (TPS) o, in inglese standard temperature and pressure (STP).
