SPEAR
SPEAR (originally Stanford Positron Electron Asymmetric Rings, now simply a name) was a collider at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. It began running in 1972, colliding electrons and positrons with an energy of . During the 1970s, experiments at the accelerator played a key role in particle physics research, including the discovery of the meson (awarded the 1976 Nobel Prize in physics), many charmonium states, and the discovery of the tau (awarded the 1995 Nobel Prize in physics).

Spjut
Ett spjut är ett uråldrigt vapen bestående av en stång (skaft) ofta med en spets av metall eller något annat hårt ämne och avsett för kast eller stöt vid jakt eller i strid. De äldsta spjute man känner till är hittade i Tyskland och är ca 400 000 år gamla. Dessa spjut var tillverkade helt i trä av förmänniskan Homo heidelbergensis och användes troligen till att jaga hästar med.

Wlócznia
Włócznia - ogólna nazwa długiej prostej broni drzewcowej.
Polska nazwa tego rodzaju broni wywodzi się od zwyczaju troczenia jej do łęku siodła końskiego w taki sposób, że zwisając w dół często wlokła się po ziemi.
W zależności od ciężaru, rozmiarów, kształtu i rodzaju ostrego zakończenia (grotu), włócznia mogła służyć do miotania na odległość (broń rzutna) lub do walki wręcz.
