Sorus (Plural Sori) bezeichnet an der Unterseite von Farnblättern hängende Gruppen von Sporangien, die an Erhebungen des Blattes (so genannten Plazenten) ansetzen.

Sporenhoopje
Een sporenhoopje of sorus (Latijn, van het Griekse soros, hoop; mv. sori) is een voortplantingsstructuur bij varens. De sorus bestaat uit een verzameling van sporendoosjes of sporangia en wordt dan ook wel een sporangiënhoopje genoemd.
