Soldado
Soldado é uma graduação do fundo da hierarquia militar. O termo soldado deriva do latim solidarius – alguém que é pago para servir. O termo veio a designar um combatente (real ou figurado) de nível básico. Por exemplo, os bombeiros são comummente designados "soldados da paz".

Soldado
Un soldado, en su sentido más general, es un individuo que se ha alistado, voluntariamente o en cumplimiento de un servicio militar obligatorio, en las fuerzas armadas de un país soberano, recibiendo entrenamiento y equipo para defender a dicho país y sus intereses. En su condición de miembro de dichas fuerzas armadas, se convierte en un militar organizado en el ejército. Dentro del ejército se dividen a los grupos de soldados generalmente en cuerpos o armas de distintas denominaciones, tales como infantería, marinería, artillería, caballería, etc).

Shin-Ra, Inc.
Shin-Ra, Inc., también conocida como Shin-Ra Electric Power Company (神羅電気動力株式会社, Shinra Denki Dōryoku Kabushiki-gaisha), y entre sus ejecutivos como 'la Shinra', es una compañía energética mega-corporal en el mundo ficticio de Final Fantasy VII, cuya manera de obtener energía se basa en la extracción de energía Mako de las profundidades de la Tierra. Pero al hacer esto, si bien obtenían energía de una manera barata y rápida, también estaban agotando los recursos naturales del Planeta, hecho que en el futuro tendría consecuencias imprevistas y desastrosas, lo cual a nadie parecía importante, pues el Gobierno era una simple marioneta en manos de Shin-Ra. En aras de evitar la destrucción del Planeta, un grupo terrorista ecologista llamado AVALANCHA, empezó una guerra de guerrillas contra Shin-Ra, que empezó por la destrucción, por parte de AVALANCHA del Reactor Mako Nº1, que llevó a la propia Shin-Ra a destruir el Sector 7 de la ciudad de Midgar, donde supuestamente se hallaban escondidos los componentes de AVALANCHA, para después culparles a ellos de la masacre, así como de las miles de muertes que ésta produjo.
