Секста ( — шестой) означает музыкальный интервал между первой и шестой ступенями «нормальной»(гептатонической) (например c-a). Также часто секстой называют саму шестую ступень звукоряда. Секста даёт консонансное звучание, и дополняется до октавы терцией.
