Shunt may refer to:
- Shunt (medical) - a hole or passage allowing fluid to move from one part of the body to another
- Shunt (electrical) - a device allowing electrical current to pass around a point in a circuit

En électricité, un shunt est un dispositif de faible impédance qui permet au courant de passer d'un point à un autre d'un circuit électrique.

Shunt
Shunt kan syfta på:
- Elektrisk grenledning för parallellkoppling. Inom elektroniken används den för inkoppling av instrument eller regulatorer.
- Ventil för att reglera flödet av vatten genom radiatorer och värmepanna eller ackumulatortank. Shunten låter en viss del av det vatten som cirkulerar genom radiatorsystemet gå tillbaka ner i pannan och på så sätt regleras temperaturen i radiatorsystemet. Till shunten kan en shuntstyrning kopplas som reglerar temperaturen i radiatorsystemet efter inne- och/eller utetemperatur. Den önskade temperaturen uppnås genom att blanda in en lämplig del av returvattnet.
- Medicinsk term för normal anatomisk eller konstgjord förbindelse mellan blodkärl.
- Plaströr som används för att hålla blodet cirkulerande under ett kärlkirurgiskt ingrepp, t.ex för att se till att blod kommer till hjärnan under halspulsåderoperationer.
- Komponent som avleder hjärn- och ryggmärgsvätska från hålrummen i hjärnan som en behandling vid Hydrocefalus (vattenskalle).

Shunt
- Shunt - in elettrotecnica è una resistenza elettrica che costituisce una deviazione per la corrente rispetto ad un circuito principale. Nelle tecnica ferroviaria viene anche detto indebolimento di campo ed è applicato ai motori delle locomotive.
