shime waza

The Shime-Waza hold is a known judo "choke move" glamorized in many martial arts films during the mid 90's. It is meant to choke the opponent with the legs of the adversary once both fighters are on the floor. It is hard to attribute the specific technique of the Shime-Waza to one particular martial artist because it is simply a minor derivation of many mainstream judo-styled choke holds. However, Jeff Binkley, a martial artist adviser to several studios during the late 70's to the mid 80's is sometimes credited.

Strangling is compression of the neck that leads to unconsciousness or death by causing an increasingly hypoxic state in the brain. Fatal strangling typically occurs in cases of violence, accidents, and as the mechanism of suicide in hangings. Strangling does not have to be fatal; limited or interrupted strangling is practiced in erotic asphyxia, in the choking game, and is an important technique and in many combat sports and self-defense systems (see Chokehold for further reading).

Les étranglements (en anglais : chokehold ou stranglehold, dans le budo japonais : shime-waza, 絞技) sont des techniques redoutables. Zadzierzgnięcie (łac.strangulatio) - termin z zakresu kryminalistyki i medycyny sądowej, określający specyficzny rodzaj zagardlenia, w którym ucisk na narządy szyi wywiera pętla zaciskana ręcznie przez człowieka. Zadzierzgnięcie jest najczęściej czynem zbrodniczym. Stosunkowo sporadycznie spotyka się samobójstwa popełnione tą metodą. Wymagają one użycia pętli uniemożliwiającej automatyczne rozluźnienie po utracie przytomności (np. pętla z krępulcem, ząbkowana taśma plastikowa z zapadką, itp).

(Ver)wurging is een methode om een lucht-ademend organisme te doden. Door het dichtknijpen van de luchtpijp en/of de halsslagaders sterft het slachtoffer, als dit te lang duurt, aan de gevolgen van zuurstofgebrek (Verstikking). Wanneer de zuurstoftoevoer naar de hersenen volledig is afgesloten, volgt bewusteloosheid doorgaans snel. Het maakt hierbij echter veel uit of alleen de toevoer van lucht naar de longen wordt afgesloten, wat pas na minuten tot bewusteloosheid leidt, of dat de bloedtoevoer naar de hersenen wordt onderbroken, waarbij dit effect veel sneller intreedt (seconden). In de forensische geneeskunde wordt de term 'wurging' (met de handen) vaak onderscheiden van verstikking door omsnoering (met touw, sjaal of dergelijke voorwerpen) en van verstikking door het bedekken van mond en neus met bv. een kussen.

Странгуля́ция — ( удушение; греч. strangulē петля, виселица) — ущемление, перекрытие путем сдавления какого-либо отверстия, например, дыхательных путей, кровеносного сосуда или отдела желудочно-кишечного тракта.Странгуляционная асфиксия — вид механической асфиксии, вызываемой сдавлением органов шеи, например, при повешании, удавлении. Специфическим признаком смерти от повешения и удавления петлей является странгуляционная борозда — след от сдавления шеи петлей.В хирургии желудочно-кишечного тракта под странгуляционной кишечной непроходимостью понимают механизм кишечной непроходимости, при котором происходит сдавление кишечника, нарушающее его кровоснабжение.
