sequel

A sequel is a work of fiction in literature, film, and other creative works that is produced after a completed work, and is set in the same "universe", but at a later time. It usually continues elements of the original story, often with the same characters and settings, although this is not always the case. For example, if the main character dies at the end of the first work, a new character (such as a son or daughter) may take up the role in the sequel. A sequel is somewhat different from a series, in which the same character appears in a number of stories, although some media franchises have enough sequels to begin to resemble a series.

SQL (das Kürzel für Structured Query Language) ist eine Datenbanksprache zur Definition, Abfrage und Manipulation von Daten in relationalen Datenbanken. SQL ist von ANSI und ISO standardisiert und wird von fast allen gängigen Datenbanksystemen unterstützt.SQL hat eine relativ einfache Syntax und ist semantisch an die englische Umgangssprache angelehnt. SQL stellt eine Reihe von Befehlen zur Definition von Datenstrukturen nach der relationalen Algebra, zur Manipulation von Datenbeständen (Einfügen, Bearbeiten und Löschen von Datensätzen) und zur Abfrage von Daten zur Verfügung. Durch seine Rolle als Quasi-Standard ist SQL von großer Bedeutung, da eine weitgehende Unabhängigkeit von der benutzten Software erzielt werden kann. Die meisten SQL-Implementierungen bieten darüber hinaus allerdings noch herstellerspezifische Erweiterungen, die nicht dem Standard-Sprachumfang entsprechen, was zur Folge hat, dass von den Herstellern parallel entwickelte gleiche Funktionen unterschiedliche Sprachelemente benutzen.

SQL (ang. Structured Query Language wym. /ɛskjuːˈɛl/) – strukturalny język zapytań używany do tworzenia, modyfikowania baz danych oraz do umieszczania i pobierania danych z baz danych. Język SQL jest językiem deklaratywnym. Decyzję o sposobie przechowywania i pobrania danych pozostawia się systemowi zarządzania bazą danych DBMS.Jest to język zapytań opracowany w latach siedemdziesiątych w firmie IBM. Stał się on standardem w komunikacji z serwerami relacyjnych baz danych. Wiele współczesnych systemów relacyjnych baz danych używa do komunikacji z użytkownikiem SQL, dlatego mówi się, że korzystanie z relacyjnych baz danych, to korzystanie z SQL-a. Pierwszą firmą, która włączyła SQL do swojego produktu komercyjnego, był Oracle. Dalsze wprowadzanie SQL-a, w produktach innych firm, wiązało się nierozłącznie z wprowadzaniem modyfikacji pierwotnego języka. Wkrótce utrzymanie dalszej jednolitości języka wymagało wprowadzenia standardu.

In italiano sèguito.È, dunque, l'opposto del prequel, e vuole continuare la narrazione delle vicende e della vita di personaggi già conosciuti. Vi è dunque, in questo caso, corrispondenza tra l'ordine cronologico di produzione del film e quello dell'ambientazione di quest'ultimo.Il termine sequel, ultimamente, si è esteso anche all'ambito letterario, videoludico e oltre.
