The socio-psychological concept of self-confidence relates to self-assuredness in one's personal judgment, ability,  power, etc., sometimes manifested excessively.Compare:confidence (often equivalent to self-confidence)hubris (excessive self-confidence)self-esteem (conceit, or favourable opinion of oneself, or self-acceptance).

Self Esteem (song)
"Self Esteem" is a song by punk rock group The Offspring, the second single of their third album Smash which was released in 1994. The song was a worldwide hit, although Dexter Holland mentioned in the Music Video Collection that this song is not very popular in Japan. The song was also featured on the game SingStar Rocks!.
