Spermatophyte
The spermatophytes (from the Greek word "Σπερματόφυτα") (also known as phanerogams) comprise those
plants that produce
seeds. They are a subset of the
embryophytes or land plants. The living spermatophytes form five groups:
cycads, a subtropical and tropical group of plants with a large crown of compound leaves and a stout trunk,
Ginkgo, a single species of
tree,
conifers, cone-bearing trees and
shrubs,
gnetae,
woody plants in the genera
Gnetum,
Welwitschia, and
Ephedra, and
angiosperms, the flowering plants, a large group including many familiar plants in a wide variety of habitats.

Samenpflanzen
Die Samenpflanzen (Spermatophyta) sind eine der Abteilungen im Reich der Pflanzen. Sie bilden
Samen als Verbreitungsorgane. Sie stehen damit im Gegensatz zu den
Sporenpflanzen, bei denen die
Sporen die Verbreitungsorgane sind.Je nachdem, ob die Samen nur teilweise oder völlig in die Fruchtblätter eingehüllt sind, unterscheidet man traditionell
Nacktsamer (Gymnospermae) und
Bedecktsamer (Magnoliophyta, ehem. Angiospermae). Die Nacktsamer bilden jedoch ein
paraphyletisches Taxon, das heißt, sie umfassen nicht alle Nachkommen ihres letzten gemeinsamen Vorfahrens, da die Bedecktsamer sehr wahrscheinlich aus nacktsamigen Pflanzen hervorgegangen sind.

Spermatophyta
Le Spermatofite (dal
greco: spèrmatos = seme ; phytòn = pianta) costituiscono una superdivisione a cui appartengono le piante vascolari possedenti
organi fiorali, grazie ai quali si
riproducono tramite la formazione di
semi. Per questa loro peculiarità, le spermatofite sono anche conosciute col nome di Antofite (da ànthos = fiore) o, più anticamente, come Fanerogame ( faneròs = evidente; gàmos = nozze) e si differenziano dalle
Crittogame, piante vascolari e non, la cui propagazione è affidata esclusivamente alle
spore. Le Fanerogame possono essere terrestri o acquatiche, tra le fanerogame marine si annovera la
Posidonia oceanica, il cui
habitat è considerato d'importanza prioritaria per la sua funzione di nursery e che costituisce un endemismo del
Mar Mediterraneo.
