A room is any distinguishable space within a structure. Usually, a room is separated from other spaces or passageways by interior walls; moreover, it is separated from outdoor areas by an exterior wall, sometimes with a door. Historically the use of rooms dates at least to early Minoan cultures about 2200 BC, where excavations on Santorini, Greece at Akrotiri reveal clearly defined rooms within certain structures.

Room for PlayStation Portable (officially styled R8M, in capital letters with an infinity symbol in the place of the two O's, also marketed as PlayStation Room) was a community-based social networking service that halted development on April 15, 2010. It was being developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and was being beta tested in Japan from October 2009 to April 2010 for the PlayStation Portable on the PlayStation Network. The service was similar to the PlayStation 3's service, PlayStation Home.

Als Zimmer wird ein Raum bezeichnet, der einen von Wänden, Boden und Decke umschlossener Teil einer Wohnung oder eines Gebäudes, insbesondere eines Wohngebäudes bildet und mindestens circa 10 m² groß ist und ein Fenster besitzt. Auf Schiffen nennt man Räume Kabinen oder Kajüten.

• einen Raum innerhalb einer Wohnung oder eines Gebäudes, siehe Zimmer 
• ein altes Zählmaß (1 Zimmer = 40 Stück), siehe Alte Maße und Gewichte
• eine US-amerikanische Automarke, siehe Zimmer (Auto)
