Le mot roi est un terme qui est formé sur le radical indo-européen *rig que l'on retrouve par exemple en latin (rex) ou en celtique (rix) et qui désigne la personne qui exerce la royauté. Il s'agit généralement d'un rôle social de pacification, associant les fonctions de premier juge, de chef de guerre et de représentation de la cohésion d'une société. Le roi est extérieur aux ordres, aux partis ou aux classes sociales qu'il a pour fonction de maintenir en équilibre. Ainsi, en France, le roi n'appartenait ni au Clergé, ni à la Noblesse, ni aux intérêts économiques et ne représentait pas spécifiquement l'une de ces visées. Sa position et son rôle sont plutôt ceux d'un arbitre, du maître du jeu.

Sposób obliczania wskaźnika: gdzie: - zysk operacyjny, - majątek (suma aktywów), - przychody ze sprzedaży.Z przedstawionego wzoru wynika, że ROI jest iloczynem wskaźnika rentowności sprzedaży oraz wskaźnika rotacji majątku. Pierwszy mówi o tym, jaką część zrealizowanej sprzedaży stanowi zysk operacyjny. Wskaźnik wzrasta, gdy każda jednostka wartości sprzedaży kreuje coraz większy zysk.
