Rhinoceros , often abbreviated as rhino, is a group of five extant species of knee-less, odd-toed ungulates in the family Rhinocerotidae. Two of these species are native to Africa and three to southern Asia.

Rhinoceros (French original title Rhinocéros) is a play by Eugène Ionesco, written in 1959. The play belongs to the school of drama known as the Theatre of the Absurd. Over the course of three acts, the inhabitants of a small, provincial French town turn into rhinoceroses; ultimately the only human who does not succumb to this mass metamorphosis is the central character, Bérenger, a flustered everyman figure who is often criticized throughout the play for his drinking and tardiness. The play is often read as a response and criticism to the sudden upsurge of Communism, Fascism and Nazism during the events preceding World War II, and explores the themes of conformity, culture, mass movements, philosophy and morality.

Die Nashörner (Originaltitel: Rhinocéros) ist ein französischsprachiges Theaterstück des rumänisch-französischen Dramatikers Eugène Ionesco, basierend auf der gleichnamigen Erzählung aus dem Jahr 1957. Es besteht aus drei Akten, die in vier Bilder unterteilt sind und gilt als eines der klassischen Stücke des Absurden Theaters.

Die Nashörner (Rhinocerotidae) bilden eine Familie der  Unpaarhufer (Perissodactyla) mit fünf Arten. Sie leben in Afrika und in Asien.

Le Rhinoceros est l'un des quatre genres de la famille des rhinocéros (ou Rhinocerotidae). Il ne faut donc pas confondre le nom de genre Rhinoceros avec le nom commun rhinocéros (qui s'écrit avec un accent).

Les rhinocéros sont des mammifères herbivores appartenant à la famille des Rhinocerotidae, ordre des périssodactyles. Toutes les espèces de rhinocéros sont considérées comme menacées de disparition. Le rhinocéros fait localement l'objet d'un programme ou de projets de réintroduction.

Rhinocéros d'Eugène Ionesco est une pièce de théâtre en trois actes, en prose, créée dans une traduction allemande au de Düsseldorf le 6 novembre 1959, publiée en français à Paris chez Gallimard la même année puis créée dans sa version française à Paris à l’Odéon-Théâtre de France le 22 janvier 1960.

Noshörningar (Rhinocerotidae) är en familj uddatåiga hovdjur. Deras mest utmärkande drag är det stora hornet på nosen. Ordet rhinoceros kommer från de grekiska orden rhino (nos) och keros (horn). Till skillnad från andra behornade däggdjur, består noshörningens horn av ett ämne som liknar tätt packat hår.
