Reset je v pocítacové terminologii akce nebo signál, který velmi rychle ukoncí chod systému a nastartuje jej znovu od zacátku. Bežnými systémy, které se resetují jsou integrované obvody, mikroprocesory, desky obsahující integrované obvody, nebo celé pocítace.
