Renacimiento es el nombre dado al amplio movimiento de revitalización cultural que se produjo en Europa Occidental en los siglos XV y XVI. Sus principales exponentes se hallan en el campo de las artes aunque también se produjo la renovación en la literatura y las ciencias, tanto naturales como humanas.
