Moses Isserles
Not to be confused with
Meir Abulafia, known as "the Ramah." Moses Isserles (or Moshe Isserlis) (1520 - 1572), was a
Rabbi and
Talmudist, renowned for his fundamental work of
Halakha (Jewish law), entitled HaMapah (lit. "the tablecloth"), a commentary on - and component of - the
Shulkhan Arukh (lit. "the set table"). He is also well known for Darkhei Moshe, a commentary on the
Tur. Moses Isserles is also "the ReMA" (or "the RAMA") רמ״א, the
Hebrew acronym for Rabbi Moses Isserles.

Tema e rema
Il tema (dal
greco "thèma" = ciò che viene posto) costituisce, per la
linguistica pragmatica, il dato posto alla base dell'enuciato stesso, già conosciuto a chi parla ed ascolta.Il rema (dal greco "rhèma" = parola) è invece ciò che in un enunciato risulta nuovo ed è quindi la parte dell'enunciato che non è data per conosciuta.La struttura informazionale della frase è proprio data dalla costruzione "tema-rema". Per quanto riguarda la
lingua italiana, è frequente la struttura che vede il tema posto all'inizio del periodo e il rema collocato alla fine. Elementi estranei all'opposizione tema-rema vengono detti transizione. Tema e rema sono tuttavia nozioni di carattere generale comuni a tutte le lingue.
