RAP
Rap may refer to:
- Rapping, performance in which rhyming lyrics are used, with or without musical accompaniment (usually with drums or electronic); while an MC performs spoken verses in time to a beat/ melody
- Hip hop subculture
- Hip hop music
- Rap sheet (Record of Arrest and Prosecution), a criminal record.
- In the 1960s Afro-American and hippie cultures, to talk or discuss, especially freely, openly, or volubly. "Achieving rapport with random talk". A form of "reasoning" as practiced by members of Rastafari

Rapping
Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting (bars), or rhyming) refers to "spoken or chanted rhyming lyrics". The art form can be broken down into different components, as in the book How to Rap where it is separated into “content”, “flow” (rhythm and rhyme), and “delivery”. Rapping is distinct from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat.

RAP
Rap
Rap [] ist ein Sprechgesang und Teil der Kultur des Hip-Hop. „To rap“ (dt.: klopfen, pochen, meckern oder aber R.a.P. = Rhythm and Poetry zu dt.: Rhythmus und Poesie) deutet die Art der Musik und des Sprechgesangs an. Mit dem Begriff „Rap-Musik“ bezeichnet man daher auch die Hip-Hop-Musik. Heute hat sich der Rap teilweise von seinen Wurzeln gelöst und wird auch in anderen Musikstilen eingesetzt, z. B. in Pop, Eurodance, Crossover und Nu Metal. Besonders in Bereichen unkommerzieller Rap-Musik, wie dem sogenannten Untergrund- oder Porno-Rap ist eine deutliche Abgrenzung zur ursprünglichen Hip-Hop-Musik erkennbar.

Rap
Rapp eller rap (av engelska rap, uttalat eller ) är ett vokalt uttryckssätt där text talas i takt till musik på ett poetiskt vis. Rapp förekommer framför allt inom musik kopplat till hiphopen. Rap finns också inom andra genrer som metal och eurodance. Rapp har sitt ursprung i hiphop-kulturen som ett av de fyra elementen tillsammans med DJ:ing, breakdance och graffiti. Texterna kan handla om allt från samhällsproblem, vardagsfilosofi och vardagspoesi till starkt politiska texter.

Rap
Rap to muzyczna część kultury hip-hopu, gatunek charakteryzujący się rytmiczną melorecytacją. Powstał w latach siedemdziesiątych XX wieku w Nowym Jorku w południowej części dzielnicy Bronx, zamieszkanej głównie przez Afroamerykanów.
Rap wywodzi się z muzyki funk oraz jazzu, polega na melorecytacji na beatach. Są to podkłady, najczęściej złożone z sampli ze starych winylowych płyt. Jedną z najważniejszych elementów podkładu sa bębny, ponieważ MCs rapują właśnie do perkusji, która nadaje rytm. W rapie nie ma jednak zasady dotyczących podkładów, mogą składać się z samej perkusji bądź być bardzo złożone. Cechą charakterystyczną szczególnie dla starszych beatów jest loopowanie czyli zapętlanie motywu.
