Ramaah means thunder in ???. Used in the
Bible, it has two meanings:A son of
Cush, mentioned in
Gen. 10:7.A country which traded with the
Phoenician country of
Tyre, mentioned in
Ezek. 27:22.The country Raamah is described by The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible as a country of the
Arabian Peninsula, and
Sheba, a son of Raamah and his country, its countrymen commonly being referred to as the
Sabeans, was positted on the southwestern side of the Peninsula and cited as
Yemen. Notably, the Yemenites are dark-skinned as are the descendents of their progenitor's eponymous grandfather, Cush, commonly translated in the Bible as Ethiopia, meaning dark. The city of Ramah in the Bible was located in Israel and Raamahites might have been located there, since that was located near the ancient city Tyre mentioned above with which they traded.
