Pulse
In medicine, a person's pulse is the throbbing of their arteries as an effect of the heart beat. It can be felt at the neck (carotid artery), at the wrist (radial artery), behind the knee (Popliteal artery), on the inside of the elbow (Brachial artery), near the ankle joint (Posterior Tibial artery), and a few other places.

Puls
In der Medizin beschreibt der Puls (v. lat.: pellere = schlagen, klopfen;  PPP pulsum) überwiegend qualitativ die mechanischen Auswirkungen von Herzaktionen auf die direkte Umgebung oder deren Fortleitung in entferntere Regionen des Körpers durch das Gefäßsystem. Als Puls bezeichnet man sowohl die Pulsfrequenz (Zahl der Impulse pro Minute; zum Unterschied dieser Pulszahl zur Herzfrequenz vgl. Pulsdefizit) als auch die Qualität dieser Impulse, z. B. "weicher", "schwacher" oder "schwirrender" Puls).
