Proposition
In common
philosophical language, a proposition is the content of an
assertion, that is, it is
true-or-
false and defined by the meaning of a particular piece of
language. The proposition is independent of the of
communication.Since the definition of "proposition" is such a crucial matter to various topics in
philosophy, the
nature of propositions is highly controversial. Even the
existence of propositions is sometimes called into question and, as a result, the term is widely used, even when the
term is not itself explicitly defined and therefore confusion, in regard to "meaning", may arise.

Logische Aussage
Eine Aussage im
Aristotelischen Sinn ist ein sprachliches Gebilde, von dem es sinnvoll ist zu fragen, ob es
wahr oder
falsch ist (so genanntes Aristotelisches
Zweiwertigkeitsprinzip). Es ist nicht erforderlich, sagen zu können, ob das Gebilde wahr oder falsch ist; es genügt, dass die Frage nach Wahrheit („Zutreffen“) oder Falschheit („Nicht-Zutreffen“) sinnvoll gestellt werden kann, was zum Beispiel bei Fragesätzen, Ausrufen und Wünschen nicht der Fall ist. Aussagen sind somit Sätze, die
Sachverhalte beschreiben und denen man einen
Wahrheitswert zuordnen kann.

Propositie
In de tweewaardige logica kan een propositie gezien worden als een bewering of uitspraak waarvan met zekerheid kan gezegd worden dat deze waar of onwaar is, zoals de beweringen: Wikipedia is een encyclopedie en Wicky heeft een noormannenhelm op, of beweringen waarvan de
waarheidswaarde onbekend is, zoals Wicky vindt Wikipedia een interessante encyclopedie.

命題
命題（めいだい、Proposition）とは、意味に不明瞭なところがない文章の事。
論理学の用語である。例えば「私の身長は160cm以上である」という文章は意味的に不明瞭なところがみあたらないので命題であるといえるが、 「ワシントンは偉人である」という文章は、「偉人」という言葉の
定義が不明瞭なので命題とはいわない。
数学や
記号論理学では「命題」という言葉はより厳密に用いられる。 詳しくは
