Projektion
Projektion (lat. proicere ‚hinauswerfen, hinwerfen‘) steht für:
- Projektion (Mathematik), eine idempotente, lineare Abbildung
- Parallelprojektion und Zentralprojektion, Abbildungen eines Objektes auf eine zweidimensionale Fläche
- Kartenprojektion, die Abbildung der gekrümmten Oberfläche eines Himmelskörpers auf eine flache Karte
- Projektion (Optik), die Abbildung eines Objektes oder dessen Bildes auf eine Bildebene durch eine Linse oder ein Linsensystem
- Projektion (Reproduktionstechnik), ein Verfahren in der Reproduktionskamera bei großformatigen Plakaten
- in der Informatik die Auswahl von Attributen aus einer Relation, siehe Relationale Algebra
- Projektion (Statistik), ein Verfahren, aus zwei statistischen Werten ein dritter Wert abzuleiten
- Projektion (Psychoanalyse), die unbewusste Verlagerung eigener Wünsche, Gefühle oder Vorstellungen auf andere Personen oder Objekte – im Unterschied zur Übertragung
- Projektion (Nervensystem), Verlagerung eines Sinneseindrucks an eine bestimmte Stelle des Nervensystems, dgl. motorische Projektion

Projektion
Projektion kan ha olika betydelser:
- En term som används inom psykologin, se psykologisk projektion.
- En tvådimensionell avbildning på en ritning av ett tredimensionellt föremål. I allmänhet krävs minst 3 projektioner för att fullständigt beskriva det föremål, som ska avbildas.
- Optisk projektion.
- Kartprojektion
- Projektion (matematik), en linjär avbildning på vektorrum.
