Priestly source
The Priestly Source (P) is the most recent of the four sources of the Torah postulated by the documentary hypothesis. It is priestly and legalistic, emphasizing censuses and genealogies. It was thought to describe conditions during and after the Babylonian exile, c 550-400 BCE and was incorporated into the Torah c 400 BCE.
