Predicate or predication may refer to: Mathematics and statisticsa predicate (mathematics) is either a relation or the boolean-valued function that amounts to the characteristic function or the indicator function of such a relation.Logica predicate (logic) is a fundamental concept in first-order logic.Grammara predicate (grammar) is one of the two immediate components of a sentence. It is the rest of the sentence apart from the subject. For instance, in the sentence "All good things don't come to an end" the "don't come to an end" is the predicate, whereas the subject is "all good things." (Strictly speaking, the simple subject is "things" and "come" is the verb; the other words modify the key terms and comprise elements of the subjective phrase and the predicate phrase.)
