Plain
In geography, a plain is land with relatively low relief, that is flat or gently rolling. Prairies and steppes are types of plains, and the archetype for a plain is often thought of as a grassland, but plains in their natural state may also be covered in shrublands, woodland and forest, or vegetation may be absent in the case of sandy or stony plains in hot deserts. Types of flatlands for which the term is not generally used include those covered entirely and permanently by swamps, marshes, playas, or ice sheets.

Plaine
Une plaine est une forme particulière de relief, c'est un espace géographique caractérisé par une surface topographique plane, avec des pentes relativement faibles. Les vallées y sont moins encaissées que sur un plateau. Une plaine est dominée par les reliefs environnants.

Plaine est une commune française, située dans le département du Bas-Rhin et la région Alsace. Elle fait partie du canton de Saales et de l'arrondissement de Molsheim.

Slätt
En slätt är ett geografiskt område som består av ett platt öppet landskap. En slätt saknar oftast skogar eller har enbart mindre skogsområden. En slätt brukar oftast ha gott om jordbruk då landskapet är lämpligt för detta. Skåne är ett exempel på ett landskap som till stor del består av just slätter.

Pianura
In geografia, una pianura è un'ampia area di terra con rilievi relativamente bassi. Solitamente viene formata dai depositi alluvionali dei fiumi, nel corso di un lungo periodo di tempo. La pianura può essere più adatta degli altopiani e delle montagne per l'agricoltura.
La pianura è un'estensione di terreno caratterizzata da differenze di livello minime o praticamente nulle. Esistono vari tipi di pianure.
- pianura ondulata: una pianura che presenta inclinazioni lievi e irregolari
- pianura alluvionale: una pianura caratterizzata da depositi alluvionali
- pianura litorale
- pianuradi sollevamento: una pianura che si è formata dal sollevamento dei fondali marini.
- pianura vulcanica: una pianura che si è formata dal deposito della materia eruttata dal vulcano.
