Pipeline transport
Pipeline transport is the transportation of goods through a pipe. Most commonly, liquids and gases are sent, but pneumatic tubes using compressed air can also transport solid capsules .

Pipeline
Eine Pipeline (von engl.: pipe = Rohr, Röhre + line = Linie, Leitung, Verbindung) ist eine Fernleitung für den Rohrleitungstransport von Flüssigkeiten (z. B. Wasser oder Erdöl) oder Gasen (z. B. Erdgas oder Kohlenstoffmonoxid).

Pipeline (Begriffsklärung)
Eine Pipeline (Englisch „Rohrleitung“, von pipe „Rohr, Röhre“ und line „Linie, Leitung, Verbindung“) ist:
- ein Rohrleitungssystem zum Transport von Flüssigkeiten oder Gasen, siehe Pipeline,
- in der Massenproduktion eine „Bearbeitungsröhre“, siehe Pipeline (Produktion),
- in der Entwicklung die Summe der in verschiedenen Testphasen stehenden zukünftigen Produkte, siehe Pipeline (Entwicklung).
- beim Wellenreiten das Phänomen einer großen Welle, die so in sich zusammenfällt dass eine Röhre entsteht, durch die der Wellenreiter hindurchfahren kann
- In der Informatik:
- Pipelining in einem Mikroprozessor, siehe Pipeline (Prozessor)
- Pipelining in einem Grafiksystem, siehe Grafikpipeline
- Pipelining beim Hypertext Transfer Protocol, siehe HTTP-Pipelining
- die gleichzeitige Nutzung von mehreren Funktionseinheiten eines Prozessors, siehe Software Pipelining
- Betriebssystem-Pipe zur Abarbeitung sequentieller Arbeitsschritte, siehe Pipe (Informatik)

Rohrleitungstransport
Unter Rohrleitungstransport als spezielle Form des Leitungsverkehrs versteht man den Transport von Flüssigkeiten und Gasen sowie Flüssigkeits-Gas-, Flüssigkeits-Feststoff- und Gas-Feststoff-Gemischen durch Rohrleitungen. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine besonders hoch spezialisierte Form eines Verkehrszweiges, wobei für die Umsetzung des Transportprozesses auf spezielle Verfahren und Anlagen (Verkehrsmittel) zurückgegriffen wird.

Transport rurociagowy
Transport rurociągowy - transport dóbr poprzez rurociągi. Najczęściej przesyłane są ciecze i gazy, ale istniały także pneumatyczne rury mogące transportować ciała stałe z wykorzystaniem powietrza pod ciśnieniem.
Przy gazach i cieczach, każda chemicznie stabilna substancja może być przesyłana przez rurociąg. Istnieją więc rurociągi transportujące ścieki, wodę lub nawet piwo; ale najważniejsze są te transportujące ropę naftową i gaz ziemny.

Condotta
La condotta è un modo di trasporto con l'utilizzo di tubi. Attraverso di essa avviene il trasferimento di liquidi e gas; in taluni casi, attraverso tubi pneumatici vengono traferite anche capsule, contenenti ad esempio documenti, soprattutto in campo postale e bancario. Oltre che l'acqua potabile, le condotte più importanti sono quelle che permettono il trasporto di gas naturale e petrolio.
