Camera lens
A camera lens (also known as photographic lens or photographic objective) is an optical lens or assembly of lenses used in conjunction with a camera body and mechanism to make images of objects either on photographic film or on other media capable of storing an image chemically or electronically.

Objektiv (Optik)
Ein Objektiv ist ein sammelndes optisches System, das eine reelle optische Abbildung eines Gegenstandes (Objektes) erzeugt. Es ist die wichtigste Komponente abbildender optischer Geräte, zum Beispiel von Kameras, Ferngläsern, Mikroskopen, Projektoren oder astronomischen Teleskopen.

Objectif photographique
L'objectif photographique est un système optique convergent formé de plusieurs lentilles, donnant des images réelles sur la surface sensible de l'appareil photographique. Un objectif se caractérise par sa distance focale, son ouverture relative, son angle de champ (définissant le format maximum avec lequel il est utilisable).

Obiektyw fotograficzny
Obiektyw fotograficzny to układ optyczny (ew. pojedyncza soczewka), który w aparacie fotograficznym umożliwia rzutowanie obrazu widzianych obiektów na matówkę, błonę fotograficzną lub matrycę CCD lub CMOS.
Za wynalazcę soczewkowego obiektywu fotograficznego uważa się Girolamo Cardano, który w 1550 r. zastąpił otwór w camera obscura pojedynczą soczewką skupiającą, ale za pierwszy obiektyw fotograficzny uważany jest otwór camery obscura powstały ok. 900 roku.
