Erlaubnis
Als Erlaubnis oder Genehmigung wird ein Verwaltungsakt bezeichnet, mit dem das grundsätzliche Verbot eines Verhaltens im Einzelfall aufgehoben wird. Dabei unterscheidet die deutsche Rechtslehre die beiden Fallgruppen der Kontrollerlaubnis und der Ausnahmebewilligung.

Licenza
Licenza è un termine che può essere riferito a diversi ambiti:
- In ambito informatico la licenza è un contratto tra il detentore del copyright e l'utente
- In ambito scolastico:
- nell'ordinamento civile ha il significato di diploma
- nella Chiesa cattolica è un titolo universitario rilasciato dalle Università Pontificie che corrisponde alla Laurea
- In ambito legale/diritto è una autorizzazione rilasciata dallo Stato a svolgere una determinatà attività (licenza di guidare taxi, di aprire locali pubblici ecc.)
- In ambito economico licenza è l'autorizzazione a utilizzare un prodotto di cui qualcun'altro detiene il copyright.
- In ambito militare riveste quello di permesso di uno o più giorni
- James Bond è, notoriamente, l'agente 007 con licenza di uccidere
- Licenza è anche il nome di un comune della provincia di Roma
