Pavement war eine Rockband der 90er Jahre. Sie prägte maßgeblich die Stilrichtung des Indie-Rock mit. Bis zur Auflösung der Band 1999 entstanden 5 LPs und zahllose EPs und Singles. Einzig die Single "Cut your hair" schaffte 1994 den Einzug in die US-amerikanischen Top Ten und die britischen Top 50.
