Parto
In ostetricia si definisce parto l'espulsione spontanea o l'estrazione strumentale del feto e degli annessi fetali dall'utero materno.

Il termine può riferirsi sia all'uomo come alle altre specie di mammiferi.

Parto
O parto (também chamado nascimento) é a saída do feto do útero materno. Pode ser visto como o oposto da morte, dado que é o início da vida de um indivíduo fora do útero. A idade de um indivíduo é definida em relação a este acontecimento na maior parte das culturas.

Parto
El parto humano, también llamado nacimiento o dar a luz, es la culminación del embarazo humano, el período de salida del infante del útero materno. Es considerado por muchos el inicio de la vida de la persona, y contrario a la muerte. La edad de un individuo se define por este suceso en muchas culturas. Se considera que una mujer inicia el parto con la aparición de contracciones uterinas dolorosas, que aumentan en intensidad y frecuencia, acompañadas de cambios fisiológicos en el diámetro del cuello uterino. Mientras la mayoría de las mujeres experimentan el parto como doloroso, algunas refieren no haber sufrido de dolores. El parto puede verse asistido con medicamentos como oxitócicos y ciertos anestésicos y una posible episiotomía, mientras que los embarazos de alto riesgo, por lo general terminan con una operación cesárea. Cuando el bebé nace, se le pesa y somete a ciertos cuidados especiales.
