Parament
A Parament or Parement; (from Late Latin paramentum, adornment, parare, to prepare, equip), a term applied by ancient writers to the hangings or ornaments of a room of state. Later it has referred to the liturgical hangings on and around the altar, as well as the cloths hanging from the pulpit and lectern, as well as the ecclesiastical vestments and mitres. In many usages, it is synonymous with altar cloth.

Parament
Paramente (von lat. parare mensam = den Tisch bereiten) sind die im Kirchenraum und in der Liturgie verwendeten Textilien, die oftmals künstlerisch aufwendig gestaltet sind.

Paramentique
La paramentique (du latin parare, préparer, apprêter) est l'ensemble des vêtements, coiffes, tentures, parements et ornements utilisés dans les liturgies religieuses. On y inclut parfois l'orfèvrerie sacrée.

Parament
Parament (łac. paramentum – ozdoba, od czasownika parare – zdobić) – słowo to spotykane jest najczęściej w liczbie mnogiej.
Paramenty to zbiorcze określenie szat liturgicznych (w znaczeniu węższym) bądź sprzętów kościelnych (w znaczeniu szerszym). Mianem tym określa się wszystkie te przedmioty, które są potrzebne do kultu Bożego, służą mu bezpośrednio i używa się ich w przestrzeni kościoła.
Przykładem paramentu z znaczeniu węższym może być ornat, natomiast w znaczeniu szerszym kielich mszalny.

Paramentti eli kirkkotekstiili on tekstiilituote, joka on sijoitettu kirkkotilaan tai jota käytetään jumalanpalveluksen yhteydessä. Paramentit jaetaan yleisesti kolmeen osaan: Jumalanpalvelusvaatteet, ehtoollisliturgiaan käytetyt tekstiilit ja alttarin ja saarnastuolin koristeluun käytetyt tekstiilit.
